Description:
The Curonian Spit, featured on the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites, is a unique corner of nature and the most treasured territory in Lithuania. The peninsula, surrounded by the Curonian Lagoon on one side and the Baltic Sea on the other, puts a special spell on every visitor. No one is capable to resist its breath-taking landscapes, mysterious travelling dunes, green pastures, pine-tree forests and amazing sea views.
During the tour you will explore old fishermen villages – Juodkrante and Nida, pay a visit to the summer residence of the Nobel prize-winning author Thomas Mann, the old fishermen cemetery, unique Evangelical Lutheran Church, local amber gallery and, of course, the great Parnidis Dune. You will also pay a visit to the dead dunes near the fishermen village of Pervalka and the Hill of Witches in Juodkrante.
A highly experienced guide will introduce you to the history of the Curonian Spit and local traditions.
